Re: harder rock |
One more thing / band .. You might be intrested in this random show by a band on the archive.
Spoonful of Vicodin
You either love this band or hate it. Read my review. I personally thought it was the stupidest / worst sounding wall of noise i'd heard in my life. I mean, i've been to some blazing down and dirty wall of noise rock shows, where you are afraid the speakers are going to explode.. this is not that. this is just noise, not music. but hey, if it's your thing, dig it!
and then reading a review at that SFOV show, this is in a similar vein:
Deutsch-Vergnuge .. both bands have just 1 show, so enjoy!

Re: harder rock |
dear ms hamilton,
first and foremost, i would like to thank you so very much for the work you apparently do here at archive in helping to maintain the message board, and in getting new music uploaded onto this brilliant site for me to download.
This site has, specifically because of the grateful dead shows, forever altered my music collection, but has also turned me on to quite a few new bands, i.e. - particle, ...and you will know us by the trail of the dead, just to name two, and has allowed me to relive, or hear for the first time music by old favorites, i.e - umphrey's mcgee, the butthole surfers, and the minutemen - i cannot tell you how pleased i was to find those guys up here.
That being said, the real reason i am replying to this post is to say to you, that if you can somehow work it out so that CLUTCH becomes part of the archive, i will formally propose marriage to you, because i love that band, their live shows are fantastic, and as the original seeder of this post observed, the archive could use a bit more of some hard(er) rock, or even heavy metal, and CLUTCH would be the perfect band with which to begin expanding such horizons here at archive.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amaizing work you and all your co-workers do in keeping this sit up to those of us who will remain forever loyal to it, and i am serious about the marriage proposal if you get Clutch up here.
thank you,
alexj
p.s. - while we're on the subject of harder rock bands, any chance you could contact the boys of PANTERA to see if they'd be willing to contribute their music to the archive, they seem like cool guys who would want their music out there for their fans. AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS WEBSITE.

Re: harder rock |
Alexj, while I don't want to steal a proposition of marriage away from Diana ;) I wanted to let you know I'd be happy to contact Clutch to see about the archive, but if you have any leads, please pass them to the admin list: etree(AT)archive(DOT)org ... mayeb a manager's name, e-mail, their website, their taping policy, anything you have that would allow us to help get a 'yes, go for it' response from them. same with pantera. thanks for the enthusiasm!

Re: Clutch |
Chuckle! :)
I've already tried Clutch management email address (through pro-rock) in 2002, and then again in Feb 2005. No reply- not sure if it's not cutting through or they just don't choose to respond. If you have an alternate/reliable contact route, do send it to us folks!
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-band-details.php?band=Clutch
I don't know of anyone that has tried Pantera- are they even trade-friendly?
(BTW I've already been spoken for, 20+ years now, yow! ;) )

Re: Clutch |
i don't know if this helps, but there were two possible e-mail addresses i found for Clutch, bothe were from
www.pro-rock.com, so they may be the ones you've already tried. Anyway, they are: submissions@, and management@.
I sent an e-mail to each myself in hopes of, well, whatever, even though you've stated that you've already done it twice before, maybe you guys could do it again.
Seriously, this website you guys run is amazing, and thank you so much for doin it.
p.s.- couldn't couldn't figure anything out about pantera's policy through their website.
p.p.s.- do you guys want me to check and see it metallica's cool with this?(ha,ha,ha)

Re: Clutch |
Shoot, those were the emails I tried.
See the Trade-Friendly Band Information page, a large but useful doc-
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-band-showall.php
Metallica is already in the No category.
